Steven L. Cochran, MD, ABFP, CAQG

Dr. Cochran received his medical degree from the University of California at Davis Medical School. He completed his family practice residency at Akron General Medical Center, having served as Chief Resident in Family Practice. He is board certified in Family Medicine and is also certified in Geriatrics.

Dr. Cochran is an assistant clinical professor at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM), and actively teaches medical students and residents in Internal Medicine and Family Practice. He is certified in Medical Direction through the American Medical Directors Association. He served as Medical Director for HCR/ManorCare for 25 years and continues to serve as Medical Director for over 25 years for Rockynol Retirement Community (including their home care agency, Senior Independence). He served as Medical Director for Akron General's PPO and with Emerald Health Network. He served as Chairman for the Department of Family Medicine at Akron General for five years.
